Neverland Soufflesong Strawberry Rabbit Pt2: OPs

Earlier this year, Rose’s Valley and Neverland/Soufflesong collaborated to make the print Strawberry Rabbit, and released 2 JSKs and a skirt.  They are all sold out now, which is sad because I loved it. It was cute. It had bunnies, and strawberries, was not awfully expensive and looked cute. But I did not buy either because I though I had more time, and I thought that it could wait until after I get a job.

I WAS MISTAKEN.

But behold, the print is back, in OP and salopette form.

Not a huge fan of salopettes, since they require full blouses and I still don’t have many of those.

This is the long sleeve OP. It is cute, and I though it was another JSK cute. If it was a JSK, I would have no worries. However, the worry with OPs is shoulder width. They don’t even have one listed ;___;

Short sleeve OPs are a bit easier even with the shoulder width issue. It looks flexible. It looks cute. It would fit.

It’s so pink and perfect.

But ultimately, I still liked the JSKs better, and I should have bought them. Actually, I should have gotten 1 JSK in pink, 1 in apricot/cream/ivory, and then I could get this short sleeve OP in mint. And then my life would be complete, in regards to this print. And then I could buy a ton of the cherry deer dresses.

But no, I am saving money right now, so this entire post is just me moping over how I cannot buy any of these prints. ;___;

Neverland/Soufflesong Thin Chiffon Trumpet Sleeve Blouse

I bought these from Taobao and not the international site, because Taobao was cheaper. Either way, it will literally take them 2 months to make these blouses. Or anything else. I think in the future, if I get anything from this brand, I will make sure it is something that only they do (like one of their dresses or prints) so that 2 month wait will be worth it. Considering I still like Strawberry Rabbit and now Sweet Cherry Deer, I think my graduation present/new job/new life gift to myself will be those dresses…if I can afford them (◡‿◡✿);;;;. (Oh nevermind Strawberry Rabbit is GONE from Taobao and the international site…damnit)

Got it in black, white and navy.  I am sure you can imagine how the black and white blouses look. It also comes in apricot, which is just their version of a cream blouse.  I considered getting it, except I couldn’t really differentiate between the white and apricot colors in their pictures, so I played it safe and just got white.

I consider these to be princess sleeves, sounds cuter than trumpet sleeves.  Tried it on, and the upper sleeves feel slightly tight. I don’t think it will be a problem. It was hot the day I tried it on, so I was glad to get this blouse off. I think this will be great for cooler weather.

The sleeves are so pretty, however I know that once I wear these out and about, I am going to constantly be worried about them falling in tea/food or getting stuck somehow. That is just part of the fun of princess style sleeves.

Taobao shop is called Neverland, tags say Soufflesong. I do like the tags here too, and the engrish. You belong to that kind, mature, lady or simple and natural, or pure, or movement, a fact that can all be fashionable.

TaobaoRing Order Review

I made two orders in early March, one March 3rd, and the other March 10th.

The March 3rd order contained Neverland items, so it was gonna take about 2 months for them to be made (according to Neverland). The shoes from Sosic Shop arrived at TaobaoRing about a week after the order.

The March 10th order was blouses from Diamond Honey and Little Dipper. The Diamond Honey blouses arrived first, and then the Little Dipper blouses arrived later. It was the pink blouse that held up the order. However, these were all preorders that were supposed to ship early April but apparently things got behind. This is more on the shops themselves and not TaobaoRing.

I got the message to pay for shipping on May 9th, so 2 months and some days for the Neverland order and a day short of 2 months for the blouse order. I paid, and got the shipping notice the next day.  I used EMS shipping, which ended up costing about what I expected (around $50 for the Neverland and shoes order, because shoes, and $30 for the other blouse order), and they were delivered today. So 6 days to ship from TaobaoRing to my house in Midwest USA.

Neverland and shoes order

Shoes are securely packed inside.

And here we have a pile of blouses. In total, I got 11 chiffon blouses (3 black, 3 white, 2 pink, 1 lavender, 1 cream, 1 navy) and 2 pairs of shoes, one red and one pink.  This should cover any and all blouse needs for awhile, particularly since they are chiffon and thus warm. The Neverland blouses have princess sleeves and some of the Little Dipper blouses are medium sleeve.

I’ll review things more individually later.

I am very pleased with TaobaoRing as a Taobao shopping service. I will definitely use them again in the future. I felt that the shipping was fast and reasonably priced, they provided images before shipping, and the fees were not that bad. If there were questions about something I ordered, they would message me to double check, and I think their site is super easy to use to set up an order.

Adventures with Taobao

It is not really a long story.

Soufflesong/Neverland is having a lucky pack for Women’s Day. $85 for a dress, blouse and jacket. Sounds like a great deal. However, all I really want are Butterfly Cemetery, Strawberry Rabbit and now Nightmare Charm. And I need blouses.

So I look at blouses and they have a new one on sale and it’s cute and flexible sizing and I want it. But the thing looming over me so much is their Taobao, where everything is so much cheaper.

On the worldwide site, the blouses are $19 each, so $57 for 3 and then shipping would be $25 for DHL or $30 for EMS.  That is $87. With Taobao, they are on sale for around $12 each. Shipping is a mystery but we will get to that.

Since I am messing with Taobao anyway, I may as well look at shoes. The group order we did with Clobba has shipped and will be here…soon? I have Antaina shoes on the way, but there is another shop called Sosicshop, which does lolita shoes.

Cute shoes, that go up to 25.5 (US9), THAT ARE ON SALE. So I am defeated and made my first Taobao order. Apparently you can order directly from Taobao and they will ship worldwide, but I decided to use a shopping service, TaobaoRing. Fees don’t seem too bad, and they got back to me to confirm my order and take the first payment almost immediately.

The shoes will take about a week, but the blouses (as with everything Soufflesong makes), will take 50-65 days. So it will be awhile before I get this order, unless I want to bother with splitting it. If TaobaoRing won’t hold items for me, then I will have to, and that is fine too.

I picked 3 chiffon princess sleeve blouses in black, navy and white (I ordered white, this image may actually be the apricot colorway but no matter how I stare I CANNOT TELL THEM APART IN THE PICTURES).  White to go with most of my dresses, navy to go with F+F Musical Palmer and AP True Rose Story, and Black because I am eventually going to get more gothic/dark dresses. I suppose it could go with Musical Palmer also. Then I got 2 pairs of shoes. The pink low heel shoes should go with most of my dresses, and the red high heel shoes are specific to go with my incoming LE+SE Kingdom of Fairies OP in the black./red colorway. See, I am planning ahead!

Still no good at purses and tights though. 〜( ̄▽ ̄〜) The advice I get on purses is to just go on Japanese Auction sites to find things second hand. I will work on that…eventually.

Weekly Lolita Dress Run Down

Wow, there are a ton of dresses up for order this week. Some I want, some I want to poke fun at, and some I want but not really but also cats. But seriously, Clobba Online’s Facebook is amazing at letting me know what dresses are available. Soufflesong has had some of these listed as well.

First, let’s start with ones I want and am under a time limit for.  Long Ears & Short Ears (they have a Storenvy, but also sold on Clobba) is re-releasing their Mushroom Forest print, and the JSK is cute and would fit me.

so prettylavender is always the bestomg mint

So cute. I really want to support LE&SE because they are an indie brand and I really like  these patterns. But once more, I am faced with the whole “don’t buy the same print/cut in different colors, you dummy!” thing. I probably have about a day to make up my mind on this because everyone is saying this fabric print is limited. ヽ(´ー`)┌ I’ll probably not order them, but I do want to share my love for them with the world.  I suppose I am waiting for them to release something like Stardust Jewel again, which I fell in love with but missed out on. Or for a Lucky Pack. They have amazingly affordable Lucky Packs.

But man, if I was super wealthy, I’d get this same JSK in all the colors. Sadly, the OP wouldn’t fit, and the Salopette is a bit awkward and requires a nice blouse, which I am still lacking).

Next up is Neverland Butterfly Graveyard JSK and OP.

Dark Blue JSKPurple High Waist OP

These are on Clobba AND Soufflesong for around the same price, and there is no deadline. NONE. So I might buy these after I get paid. Even if it breaks the “same print/different cut/different color” rule. I think these two dresses are different enough. Definitely getting one in purple, and the other in either dark blue or dark red. I am leaning towards blue.

When thinking about lolita fashion, since I am on a budget, I want to try and figure out the image I want to portray. Do I want to be a Sweet Lolita (more akin to the Mushroom Forest JSK above, and the dresses coming in June)? Do I want to be a Gothic Lolita (like these dresses)? What about Shiro/Kuro Lolita (akin to what F+F pieces I am most interested in, generally)? I can’t really afford to be all of the above, but then again, with careful planning, why not? It is something to think about when drooling over all these different dresses.

Next is kinda a fun one: Neverland Cat’s Courtyard.Cats OP
Cats Highwaist JSK

I am not a huge fan of the massive screen-print patterns on some dresses. I don’t like the screen-printing on these, but otherwise I like the top part of these dresses, and the layered lace at the bottom. Also, Soufflesong has had these up for weeks now, but Clobba is just now putting them up? (•‿•) Okay.

Finally, I have to show off the name of this one.

Classical Puppets Maiden's Breasts JSK
Classical Puppet’s Maiden’s Breasts. What. It’s nice pattern with macarons and there are 3 different cuts (the high waist JSK shown here, a high waist OP, and a dolly cut which has no waist but looks crazy short on the model). Very cute, but WHY that name? (。ノω\。)゚

Actually, after some careful googling of “少女的酥胸”, you get pictures of macarons (and an alternative name of “马卡龙”, and that is macaron. Thanks google!) So I must assume that this is all kind of a disconnect between what it means in Chinese and what it means in English. This print is all about super cute macarons and sweets and ya’ll need to get your minds out of the gutter. (´・ω・`) I do too, I guess.
