Souffesong Weekly Sale – Butterfly Cemetery

HELL, I AM LIVING IN HELL.

Butterfly Cemetery is one of the prints from Soufflesong that I have loved the entire damn time. I think I even posted about it when it was first released. I wanted these last fricking April. And now they are on sale. I would buy two. One in blue and one in purple, one JSK and one OP, and it would be super cheap and I would be happy with cute dresses. I know that with Soufflesong, you have to go print-by-print because some have better quality than others. However, I have seen this print in person, and I still love it.

In blue.

In wine.

In purple.

AND I AM ON A NO BUY UNTIL I GET A JOB and probably longer after that.  I have had such a bad week though, I almost want to just buy it anyway, but then I would feel bad and probably get yelled at.

This summer, I kept thinking that there were not really any dresses that I loved enough to want to buy (Brand is held to pretty high standards for me, since it is so pricey, but even with Taobao brands, there were dresses I liked but not enough to really make me want to buy them, aside from the Arcadian Deer dress). And now it is fall and I cannot do anything. I even have money saved for my next AP dress (if they ever release anything that I both want AND fits the 4cm+ rule…), but I would feel guilty spending it now.

This is HELLLLL. Seeing something you have wanted for a long time go on sale and you still cannot buy it.

Soufflesong Weekly Sale – Wishing Star Series

There have been several sales in the past few weeks, but I have ignored them because I didn’t care for those prints. But this week, from today until October 2nd, the Wishing Star series is for sale!

JSK has corset lacing in the front.

JSK2 is kind of tiered.

This is one of those somewhat generic sparkly starry print dresses that other brands like V-Castle and Shimotsuki Sakuya have very similar versions of.

I love these. I want one in navy and one in black and I think I once saw a version in red.

Depending on many things (paying off bills and saving a little extra and how I feel), I may buy one of these dresses. I kind of like the second one better, so I would get it in navy.  I already have lots of navy accessories. Second choice would be black. This dress also comes in white, but it seems too…wedding-y.  I don’t think I could ever do shiro style because of that. ~(=^‥^)/

Midwest Tea Festival 2017

Did not think I would still be in the area in time to attend, but here we are. I went with my friend from college and my friend from the com, and I think we all had a good time.

My purple Kitty Courtyard JSK arrived this week, just in time! It fits nicely and is much longer than most of my other dresses. I believe this is a tea-length dress (har har) and I think I like this better than dresses that hit closer to the knee. Being as tall as I am, most at-knee dresses hit above the knee.

Am I totally in love with this dress? No, it does not make my heart pound the way other dresses do, but this is a solid JSK. I mentioned I like the length and the fit. It is comfy. One concern I had was if the print was blurry, since I have heard that Soufflesong/Neverland prints are sometimes blurry. The print on this dress is fine. One minor complaint is that the ribbon around the waist does not have any loops to be threaded through, so it is held up by merely being tied tight enough.  Overall, if this dress goes on sale again, I am DEFINITELY getting it in pink, and eventually blue, and in this cut. I am very pleased with how it feels to wear this dress.

Otherwise, wearing a half blouse, the Frankenstein-ed Aurora+Ariel petticoat, lace socks and flats. Flats, because I am lazy. Bracelets instead of wristcuffs because I was treating today as more of hanging out with friends than a proper meet. Hair isn’t shown, but it is just half pulled back with some purple hair clips that don’t really match.ヽ(´ー`)┌ Whoops.

My friend picked me up and she was also wearing a purple cat-themed dress. We are clearly super awesome. The Festival itself was pretty fun, but we were unfortunate enough to not be able to attend any of the tasting cafes. I missed out on that last year too. ;__; But we did meet up with friends and taste lots of different teas and snacks.  I ended up buying a bunch of tea too, because I am weak.

Shown here are cute boxes of tea from Big Heart Tea Co, and I sniffed all of them to make sure I would actually like them. There is a mini tasting tea cup, and a clay teabag holder, and some fruit teas from Herbal Alchemy (they also smell amazing). Also, tea bags so I can easily brew all this loose leaf tea.

Also bought some tea from The London Tea Merchant (I smelled these first also), and a bunch of cookies!  The iced cookies are so beautiful! They are apple, lemon, chocolate and vanilla flavored. Also got herb garden and sesame seed cookies from a different little bakery.

There were only 3 tea samples this year, but thinking back, this is for the best. I ended up not liking the tea samples I got last year anyway.

After the festival, we went and ate lunch and parted ways, and now I am in a food coma and pondering cats. It was a good, comfy day.

Soufflesong Kitty Courtyard Sale

From August 18th to August 25th, Soufflesong/Neverland’s Kitty Courtyard print is on sale.

After much pondering and asking opinions, I decided to buy the long JSK in purple. This will be a super easy dress to coordinate. It has black, so I can wear black shoes. It is purple and I have other purple accessories. It has cats on it, and I love cats.

I considered getting this JSK and then the short JSK in a different color, but then decided the bodice on the short JSK looks so weird to me. And then I considered buying TWO of this JSK, but decided I should be saving for moving out and buying microwaves, so I can buy this dress in pink some other time. If it is comfy, of course. Or maybe the 3rd weekly sale will be another dress I have been wanting (Sweet Cherry Deeeeer).

Unfortunately, Soufflesong takes forever to make and ship dresses, so that will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Neverland Soufflesong Strawberry Rabbit Pt2: OPs

Earlier this year, Rose’s Valley and Neverland/Soufflesong collaborated to make the print Strawberry Rabbit, and released 2 JSKs and a skirt.  They are all sold out now, which is sad because I loved it. It was cute. It had bunnies, and strawberries, was not awfully expensive and looked cute. But I did not buy either because I though I had more time, and I thought that it could wait until after I get a job.

I WAS MISTAKEN.

But behold, the print is back, in OP and salopette form.

Not a huge fan of salopettes, since they require full blouses and I still don’t have many of those.

This is the long sleeve OP. It is cute, and I though it was another JSK cute. If it was a JSK, I would have no worries. However, the worry with OPs is shoulder width. They don’t even have one listed ;___;

Short sleeve OPs are a bit easier even with the shoulder width issue. It looks flexible. It looks cute. It would fit.

It’s so pink and perfect.

But ultimately, I still liked the JSKs better, and I should have bought them. Actually, I should have gotten 1 JSK in pink, 1 in apricot/cream/ivory, and then I could get this short sleeve OP in mint. And then my life would be complete, in regards to this print. And then I could buy a ton of the cherry deer dresses.

But no, I am saving money right now, so this entire post is just me moping over how I cannot buy any of these prints. ;___;

Neverland/Soufflesong Thin Chiffon Trumpet Sleeve Blouse

I bought these from Taobao and not the international site, because Taobao was cheaper. Either way, it will literally take them 2 months to make these blouses. Or anything else. I think in the future, if I get anything from this brand, I will make sure it is something that only they do (like one of their dresses or prints) so that 2 month wait will be worth it. Considering I still like Strawberry Rabbit and now Sweet Cherry Deer, I think my graduation present/new job/new life gift to myself will be those dresses…if I can afford them (◡‿◡✿);;;;. (Oh nevermind Strawberry Rabbit is GONE from Taobao and the international site…damnit)

Got it in black, white and navy.  I am sure you can imagine how the black and white blouses look. It also comes in apricot, which is just their version of a cream blouse.  I considered getting it, except I couldn’t really differentiate between the white and apricot colors in their pictures, so I played it safe and just got white.

I consider these to be princess sleeves, sounds cuter than trumpet sleeves.  Tried it on, and the upper sleeves feel slightly tight. I don’t think it will be a problem. It was hot the day I tried it on, so I was glad to get this blouse off. I think this will be great for cooler weather.

The sleeves are so pretty, however I know that once I wear these out and about, I am going to constantly be worried about them falling in tea/food or getting stuck somehow. That is just part of the fun of princess style sleeves.

Taobao shop is called Neverland, tags say Soufflesong. I do like the tags here too, and the engrish. You belong to that kind, mature, lady or simple and natural, or pure, or movement, a fact that can all be fashionable.

Adventures with Taobao

It is not really a long story.

Soufflesong/Neverland is having a lucky pack for Women’s Day. $85 for a dress, blouse and jacket. Sounds like a great deal. However, all I really want are Butterfly Cemetery, Strawberry Rabbit and now Nightmare Charm. And I need blouses.

So I look at blouses and they have a new one on sale and it’s cute and flexible sizing and I want it. But the thing looming over me so much is their Taobao, where everything is so much cheaper.

On the worldwide site, the blouses are $19 each, so $57 for 3 and then shipping would be $25 for DHL or $30 for EMS.  That is $87. With Taobao, they are on sale for around $12 each. Shipping is a mystery but we will get to that.

Since I am messing with Taobao anyway, I may as well look at shoes. The group order we did with Clobba has shipped and will be here…soon? I have Antaina shoes on the way, but there is another shop called Sosicshop, which does lolita shoes.

Cute shoes, that go up to 25.5 (US9), THAT ARE ON SALE. So I am defeated and made my first Taobao order. Apparently you can order directly from Taobao and they will ship worldwide, but I decided to use a shopping service, TaobaoRing. Fees don’t seem too bad, and they got back to me to confirm my order and take the first payment almost immediately.

The shoes will take about a week, but the blouses (as with everything Soufflesong makes), will take 50-65 days. So it will be awhile before I get this order, unless I want to bother with splitting it. If TaobaoRing won’t hold items for me, then I will have to, and that is fine too.

I picked 3 chiffon princess sleeve blouses in black, navy and white (I ordered white, this image may actually be the apricot colorway but no matter how I stare I CANNOT TELL THEM APART IN THE PICTURES).  White to go with most of my dresses, navy to go with F+F Musical Palmer and AP True Rose Story, and Black because I am eventually going to get more gothic/dark dresses. I suppose it could go with Musical Palmer also. Then I got 2 pairs of shoes. The pink low heel shoes should go with most of my dresses, and the red high heel shoes are specific to go with my incoming LE+SE Kingdom of Fairies OP in the black./red colorway. See, I am planning ahead!

Still no good at purses and tights though. 〜( ̄▽ ̄〜) The advice I get on purses is to just go on Japanese Auction sites to find things second hand. I will work on that…eventually.
